Top IITs in India 2022

India is home to some of the top-rated IITs colleges such as the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Madras), Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Delhi), Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Bombay), Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Kanpur); Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Kharagpur), Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Roorkee), Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Guwahati), Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Hyderabad), Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Indore), Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Indore), Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Varanasi), etc.

The Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree is the most common undergraduate degree in the IITs colleges. The IITs colleges offer many postgraduate programs including MTech, MBA (only for engineers and postgraduates in science) and MSc. Some IITs offer specialised graduate programmes such as (MDes), the Post Graduate Diploma in Information Technology (PGDIT), Master in Medical Science and Technology (MMST), Master of City Planning (MCP), MA, Postgraduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Law (PGDIPL), and the Postgraduate Diploma in Maritime Operation & Management (PGDMOM).

For admission to undergraduate engineering courses, students first need to qualify for JEE Main and then JEE Advanced. For postgraduate courses, students need to qualify the GATE exam in the respective paper. To pursue a postgraduate course, students must have completed an undergraduate course in the pertinent discipline.
